How The Dwyer Company Rescued a Finished Basement From Water Intrusion in 2 days

The Problem

Water was getting in from two directions — seeping up at the cove base and pushing under the walk-out basement door. Left alone, that kind of ongoing moisture doesn’t stay contained. It works into finished walls, warps flooring, and creates the kind of mold problem that turns a waterproofing job into a full gut. The basement was partially finished, which meant the window to act before real damage set in was already closing.

Our Solution

The Dwyer Company installed 25 feet of interior drain along the affected wall, a grate drain in front of the walk-out door to catch surface water before it could get in, and a ¾ HP sump pump with battery backup to keep things dry even when the power goes out. The discharge line runs 40 feet to daylight.

Project completed in 2 days.

The Results

Why This Matters

For a partially finished basement, the stakes are higher than bare concrete. Every day water gets in is another day your walls, flooring, and belongings are at risk.
