How Helical Tiebacks Work
Dwyer’s pre-engineered round-shaft helical anchors are screwed into the ground to a predetermined depth, typically extending beyond the active zone of soil movement, using specialized equipment. The helical plates on the anchor shaft grip stable soil or bedrock, creating a strong anchor point capable of withstanding significant loads. Threaded bars and plate steel caps are attached to the anchor, securing it to the retaining wall or structure.
