Our Solution
To rectify the settlement of the slab and eliminate the resultant three-inch bump, the Dwyer Company utilized two cubic yards of concrete grout. The process was meticulously executed as follows:

Preparation and Access:
Six small, strategically placed holes were drilled through the existing concrete slab. These access points were critical for the injection phase of the operation. -
Injection:
Using specialized equipment, two cubic yards of a cement-based grout were systematically pumped under the sunken slab. This controlled injection process achieved two primary objectives simultaneously. -
Void Filling:
The high-pressure injection ensured that all existing voids, the empty spaces beneath the concrete that allowed it to settle, were completely filled and stabilized by the grout material. -
Slab Lifting (Slabjacking):
As the two cubic yards of grout were pumped into the confined space, the hydrostatic pressure created by the material effectively lifted the heavy concrete section. This action successfully raised the driveway back to its original, desired elevation, eliminating the three-inch differential (the "bump") that was causing the issue. -
Completion:
The use of exactly two cubic yards of concrete grout proved sufficient to fill all underlying voids and achieve the necessary three-inch vertical lift, restoring the structural integrity and smooth grade of the slab.
